Jan Stewart was chief executive of Lotterywest from 1992 to 2014, having previously been director of Lotterywest's grants & community development. With a background in social work, she originally joined Lotterywest in 1987 as a consultant to assist the Lotterywest board in their grant-making decisions. Ms Stewart has been a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA) executive committee since 2000 and in 2006, she was elected WLA senior vice president. From 2000 to 2005, she was the inaugural chair of the Asia Pacific Lottery Association.
