'Time for change' as Seven's Worner leaves
Tim Worner's six years as Seven West Media chief executive have come to an abrupt end, with chairman Kerry Stokes saying "now is the time for change".
James Warburton has extensive experience in the media, marketing and advertising sectors.
He took over as chief executive and managing director of Seven West Media in August 2019, and will be stepping down from the role sometime before June 2024.
Mr Warburton had also held senior leadership roles at media buying company Universal McCann, Seven Media Group, Network 10, and APN Outdoor. He was chief executive of Supercars for five years where he drove significant growth in the sport and delivered unprecedented broadcast, sponsorship & funding deals.
