James Shepherd commenced with the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River in January 2020 as a corporate and community services director.
Prior to that, he was the manager of sport and recreation at the City of Bunbury where he oversaw a a range of significant community/commercial facilities. He was also an acting director on several occasions, in both infrastructure and corporate/community directorates. He spent almost 10 years with the City of Bunbury before being appointed to the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.
His experience includes undertaking strategic community and asset planning, as well as coordination of major community infrastructure projects including the recent multimillion dollar “Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront” Project with the State Government.
Mr Shepherd is a board member of the South West Academy of Sport, and deputy chair of the Plico Energy’s community board.
