James Knowles has mining and commercial experience. His technical expertise includes exploration, project development and mine operations support, technical audits, due diligence, resource estimation and reporting across a broad range of projects, geological settings and commodities including coal, bentonite and oil shale mines and projects in Australia, Colombia and Indonesia.
Mr Knowles has over 23 years of experience in management and consulting roles including at McElroy Bryan Geological Services, Excel Coal, BHP Billiton, and Peabody Energy Australia where he was the director of geology and resources.
Since June 2013 Mr Knowles has been the director and principal geologist of Measured Group, an independent company which provides reporting, advice and technical geological services.
