Ivy Chen is a corporate governance specialist with more than 30 years of international experience in mining and resource estimation.
She was the national geology and mining adviser for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) from 2009 to 2015. Her experience in the mining industry in Australia and China, as an operations and consulting geologist, includes open pit and underground mines for gold, manganese and chromite. As a consulting geologist, Ms Chen has conducted mineral project evaluation, strategy development and implementation, through to senior corporate management roles. She has been a member of the VALMIN committee since 2015.
Ms Chen has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from Curtin University, and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
