Strategen Environmental has appointed Kane Moyle senior principal. He will lead the mining, audit, government approvals and strategy team.
Ian Munns is the WA Worksafe Commissioner and the acting deputy director general of safety regulation at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety. He was previously the acting executive director of building commission. Mr Munns held several positions in the WorkSafe Division of the former Department of Commerce and the current Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, including as director of policy and education and executive director of corporate governance and services. Prior to that, his career included a diverse range of duties, from undertaking compliance activities to several positions as national manager for functions in the Commonwealth Government.

A cartage company has been fined $160,000 after pleading guilty to causing the death of two construction workers in East Perth in 2015 after tilt-up panels fell off a truck.
The death of a prisoner who was crushed between a truck and a wall has resulted in Western Australia's Department of Justice being fined $100,000 plus costs.
