Ian McGeorge
Non-Executive Director / Mount Burgess Mining
Ian McGeorge is a chartered geologist and a British national resident in Botswana.
He is the principal consultant and co-owner of iQuest Geology, a geological consultancy based in Gaborone, Botswana.
Mr McGeorge has extensive experience of prospecting in Botswana, having been involved in exploration for diamonds, gold, copper, nickel, iron ore, lithium, and industrial minerals, as well as supervising exploration and resource development of Mount Burgess Mining's Kihabe-Nxuu project. He had also held senior positions in government funded groundwater and mapping contracts.
In addition to Botswana, Mr McGeorge has significant experience of exploring for copper in Zambia and the DRC, gold in Zimbabwe, and diamonds in West Africa.
