Ian Learmonth

Chief Executive / Clean Energy Finance Corporation

Ian Learmonth has been chief executive of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) since 2017. He has over 25 years of experience as a financier and investor, working across clean energy and major infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally. Mr Learmonth began his investment banking career with Macquarie Group where he worked for over 20 years, holding senior roles in Sydney, London and Hong Kong. Prior to joining the CEFC, he established Social Ventures Australia’s impact investment business which included structuring and launching Australia's first Social Impact Bond as well as raising a dedicated Social and Affordable Housing fund.
