Ian Crooke worked for 10 years as a communications engineer in Australia and South America, including a job with Reuters in Sydney supporting their financial information datacentres.
In 2000, Mr Crooke completed a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York before starting a career in finance where he was a credit analyst for a major US bond guarantor, an equity research analyst covering transport and infrastructure stocks in Latin America, and with mining service companies in Western Australia.
Mr Crooke has been a chief risk advisor for the Western Australian Treasury Corp since July 2016, managing credit, market and operational risks for the agency.
