Dr Howie McKibbon has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr McKibbon joined Botanix Pharmaceuticals in May 2019 as chief commercial officer before becoming chief operating officer in October 2022 and chief executive in August 2023. Prior to that, he was the senior vice president of worldwide commercial operations at Dermavant Sciences, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Anacor Pharmaceuticals, and vice president of dermatology and immunology at Medicis Pharmaceuticals. He also held commercial leadership positions for neuroscience and oncology brands, from development to exclusivity, at Cephalon and Wyeth.
Dr McKibbon has launched 15 branded products including 11 in dermatology, managed over 30 dermatology products, and played a significant role in two of the largest dermatology transactions with a combined valuation of US$7.8bn.
