Carbon credits, nuclear energy part of net-zero arsenal
The Minerals Council says carbon credits are essential to manage mining emissions and remain competitive until electrification technology is widely available.
Hollie Hughes is an Australian politician, a member of the Liberal Party, and a Senator for New South Wales since 2019.
In June 2022, following the Liberal Party's defeat at the federal election, Ms Hughes became the Assistant Shadow Minister for Climate Change & Energy in the Dutton shadow ministry.
Prior to politics, Ms Hughes was the founder and chair of the Country Autism Network, created to facilitate greater community awareness of regional children affected by autism, and develop more sophisticated support mechanisms for them and their families. She had also worked in the private sector as a senior consultant for the human resources consultancy Salt & Shein.
Ms Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) and Masters in Public Policy.
