Hector Gordon is a geologist with over 35 years of experience in the petroleum industry.
He was managing director of Somerton Energy until it was acquired by Cooper Energy in 2012. He was also an executive director of Beach Energy where he was employed for more than 16 years. During that time, Beach Energy experienced significant growth and Mr Gordon held a number of roles including exploration manager, chief operating officer, and ultimately as chief executive. Mr Gordon’s previous employers include Santos, AGL Petroleum, TMOC Resources, Esso Australia and Delhi Petroleum.
He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
