Make the grade on merit, not gender
IT’S not a profession that boasts a large number of women, but for those working in the stockbroking sector, gender is irrelevant to what they do.
Heather Zampatti has over 35 years of experience in the capital markets, stockbroking and Investment sectors; advising and providing investors with professional portfolio management.
Ms Zampatti has been the head of wealth management at Bell Potter Securities since 2002.
She sits on the boards of the Federal Government Remuneration Tribunal, Osteoporosis Australia, The University of WA Club, Theatre 180, Tura New Music and ASIC’s Financial Services Consultative Committee. Ms Zampatti was a former member of the Federal Governments Takeover Panel and the Financial Sector Advisory Council; chair of Lotterywest and Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation; and board member of Healthways, AIM WA, Chief Executive Women (CEW) and WA Ballet.
Ms Zampatti holds a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education, is a Certified Financial Planner, and a Master of Stockbroking (MSAA). She was awarded an honourary Doctor of Commerce from Edith Cowan University.

Two prominent Perth businesswomen have moved on to new government roles, with Heather Zampatti named the new chair for Lotterywest, while Libby Lyons has become a director of the national Workplace Gender Equality Agency.

The state government today announced a further aligning of Healthway and Lotterywest through the appointment of common board members, including former Labor health minister Jim McGinty.
