Hanno van der Merwe has over 25 years of experience in estimating, project management and production management. He has been involved in the delivery of several highly successful projects in Australia and Africa; and held senior management roles in the mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, engineering, construction, maintenance and telecommunications industries.
Mr van der Merwe became the chief operating officer of Suvo Strategic Minerals in December 2022. He was previously the lead estimator for the business arm of telecommunications giant Vodafone Australia, and lead project estimator of ASX-listed mining services company Mineral Resources. He had also held senior roles at BGC Contracting, Lycopodium Minerals, and Kiewit Australia.
Mr van der Merwe holds qualifications in Production Engineering and a Master of Business Management.
