BHP alumni Graham Tiver takes Woodside CFO gig
Former BHP group financial controller Graham Tiver has been chosen as Woodside’s new chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Graham Tiver has held significant financial, commercial and leadership roles across a range of business sectors including minerals, oil and gas. He also has extensive international experience, having worked in North and South America.
Mr Tiver became chief financial officer and executive vice president of Woodside in February 2022. Prior to that, he was the group financial controller of BHP, with responsibility for its global accounting & reporting function and financial improvement. Mr Tiver has been a director of BHP Foundation since 2019.
He holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from Edith Cowan University, and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.

Former BHP group financial controller Graham Tiver has been chosen as Woodside’s new chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Woodside's new leadership team will be split across Perth and Houston and include five BHP executives, in line with the merged entity's elevated global profile.
Woodside Energy paid US$1.8 billion ($2.7 billion) in taxes and royalties in Australia in 2022, the company has revealed.
Woodside Energy says it paid $4.35 billion worth of tax in Australia in 2023, with data released amid sustained criticism over the economic contribution of LNG producers to the WA economy.
Woodside Energy’s Perth-based head of new energy initiatives, Shaun Gregory, will step into an advisory role after a C-suite shake up at the LNG producer.
