Graeme Murphy
The Honourable Justice Graeme Murphy was appointed to the Supreme Court on 28 April 2009 at the age of 52. He was then a judge of the Court of Appeal from August 2010 until his retirement in May 2023.
Justice Murphy joined the WA Bar Association in July 1994, and was appointed senior counsel in WA in 2003. Prior to being called to the Bar, he was a partner with the national firm Blake Dawson Waldron. As a barrister, Justice Murphy acted in various District, Supreme, Federal and High Court cases, and in arbitrations.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics.
