Glen Ryan
Glen Ryan has over 20 years of experience as a consulting engineer and energy specialist. He has extensive knowledge of the renewable/sustainable energy sector through his previous technology development activities associated with an innovate vertical axis wind turbine, and research/feasibility studies in the areas of solar thermal concentrators, industrial waste heat capture, Bio-fuels and energy storage to promote renewable electricity and support network stability.
Mr Ryan has also owned and acted as director and manager for a number of companies including Bombora Wave Power, Rytech Australia, and Australian Sustainable Energy Developments. He was previously a board member of the WA Sustainable Energy Association.
Mr Ryan had consulted (via Rytech) to BHP Billiton for over 10 years and assisted in managing energy services contracts (gas transmission and electricity supply) worth in excess of $150 million per annum. Prior engineering work with Combined Resource Engineering also saw him manage engineering, manufacturing and construction teams for mainly underground construction projects servicing some of the most remote mines in Australia.
