Geoffrey Stooke AM OAM CitWA has been the managing director of Standard Wool Investments (previously Standard Wool Australia) since 1996. He had held senior positions in the fishing, food and resources industries, and his early career was as a commissioned officer in the Australian Regular Army which included service in Australia and overseas.
Mr Stooke holds several directorships including a few as chair. Previous directorships include being chair of RugbyWA for 23 years, director of the Australian Rugby Union for over 5 years, director of the Australian Sports Commission for 3 years, and director of the Australian Wool Exchange for 9 years.
Mr Stooke is a recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia, the Australian Sports Medal, the Centenary Medal, and in 2006 was the WA Citizen of the Year in the category of Sport. In June 2022, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to rugby union, to sports administration, to business, and to the community.
