Geoffrey Brunsdon AM has had a 30-year career in investment banking.
Mr Brunsdon is chair of Sims Metal Management and MetLife Insurance, director of The Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists and Purves Environmental Custodians, and chair of various funds from the APN Property Group.
He was previously the managing director and head of investment banking at Merrill Lynch International (Australia), a member of the listing committee of the Australian Stock Exchange from 1993 and 1997, a member of the Takeovers Panel from 2007 and 2016, and chair of Redkite (supporting families who have children with cancer) until 2015 and is now a patron.
Mr Brunsdon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Financial Services Institute of Australia, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In 2019, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the finance, banking and insurance sectors, and to charitable organisations.
