As a chartered accountant, Gavin Hawkins spent the formative years of his career with Deloitte Perth, covering a broad range of client sectors. Wanting to gain international experience and travel, Mr Hawkins spent several years in London working with several major financial institutions.
He has been extensively involved in the property sector since 2001, having co-founded and run an ASX 300 listed property funds management business with assets of $1.4 billion. His experience spans a wide range of segments including commercial & industrial assets, residential & commercial developments, and retail.
Stepping away from the listed environment, Mr Hawkins is now focused on applying this experience to the residential apartment and mixed-use development areas. The choice aligns to his strong belief that the current consumer shift to higher density living, wrapped around conveniently located quality lifestyle amenities and infrastructure, will continue to accelerate.
