Large charities tilt toward boards fees

At what point should not-for-profit organisations start paying fees to their board of directors?
Garry McGrechan owns and manages an electrical engineering company that services the mining and infrastructure industries. He was on the board of an ASX-listed multi-disciplined project and engineering company for four years and was chair of the Parkerville Baptist Church for 13 years until 2015. Mr McGrechan joined the Baptistcare Board in April 2011 and has been chair since October 2011. He was appointed interim chief executive from January to March 2017.
