Since arriving in Australia in 1990, Gail Rogerson had many different employment experiences. She managed multiple franchise garden centres as well as being involved in events. It was in 2004 when Ms Rogerson was working at KPMG as a practice manager that she found her passion for bookkeeping. A few years later, she left employment and put time into growing her own business. Eight years later, in September 2015, her bookkeeping practice was acquired by Carbon Group and in late 2017, she re-joined Carbon Group under the company's Carbon Partner Empowerment (CPE) model. Ms Rogerson provides services from payroll to BAS lodgement and general management assistance to a large range of industries. Being a partner at Carbon Bookkeeping allows Gail to develop her industry knowledge whilst assisting leaders and business owners in various aspects of their business. Her focus is on partnering with business owners and being with them on their success journey. The highlight of her career was the achievement of $1 million profit by the accommodation secretariat (against a budget of $600k) under her leadership. As accommodation manager, she chaired the accommodation committee, and was a member of the marketing and executive committees organising this international event. Key accountabilities included formulation of a critical path analysis and management of objectives as well as formulation of all the policies and implementation of the process and comprehensive financial control of the accommodation secretariat.
