Fredrick Riebeling
Fredrick Riebeling AM was a Labor member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly for Ashburton from 1992 to 2008, including as speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 2001.
Mr Riebeling retired shortly before the 2008 election and became a councillor at the City of Mandurah in 2011. In July 2019, the Town of Port Hedland appointed Mr Riebeling as commissioner, as the Council was suspended by the State Government for six months amid complaints of bullying, harassment, in-fighting and dysfunction.
In 2020, Mr Riebeling was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant services to the people and Parliament of Western Australia.
