Frederick Wehr had a 38-year worldwide career in the upstream oil and gas sector, from a research role at Exxon to operational and management positions in Apache and Quadrant Energy. He had also managed successful exploration programs in Egypt and Australia for Apache and Quadrant Energy, and led the team that made the Dorado discovery (one of the largest oil finds on the NWS) in 2018.
Mr Wehr is the sole director of Wehr Advisory, providing technical and commercial advice in the upstream oil and gas sector to selected clients.
He holds a PhD in Geoscience from Virginia Tech in the United States, is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
