Kasbah Resources has appointed Evan Spencer as chief operating officer following the resignation of Michael Kitney. Mr Spencer was chief executive of Asian Mineral Resources.

Evan Spencer is a highly experienced mining executive who has held a wide range of executive, senior management and operational roles in mining both domestically and internationally for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in operating large scale multi-site operations and small scale operations in both gold and base metals; in project development, feasibility, permitting approvals and joint venture management.
Mr Spencer held senior roles in Barrick Gold, Kagara, Goldfields of South Africa, Aditya Birla Minerals and GBF Mining Contractors. He was chief executive of Asian Mineral Resources. He worked on asset integration in Saudi Arabia and led the strategic development and implementation of Barrick Gold’s Kalgoorlie and Papua New Guinea Operations.
Mr Spencer holds a Master of Mineral Economics, a Bachelor of Applied Science Geology (Honours); completed postgraduate studies in Mine Engineering, Business and Mining; and holds a WA First Class Managers Certificate.
