Dr Eric Rose has experience as a surgeon, researcher and businessman; and has medical, pharmaceutical, scientific and industry expertise.
Dr Rose led the Columbia Presbyterian heart transplantation program in the United States from 1982 to 1992. He went on to become chair of the Department of Surgery and Surgeon-in-Chief of the Columbia Presbyterian Center of New York Presbyterian Hospital from 1994 to 2007, and an Edmond A Guggenheim Professor and chair of the Department of Health Evidence and Policy at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine from 2008 to 2012.
