Elizabeth Barnes is an occupational therapist originally from the UK. In Australia, she has worked in primary health for Silver Chain and Alzheimer’s WA before becoming chief executive of Midlas, a community legal service and disability advocacy provider. As chief executive of Directions Disability Support Services, Ms Barnes has overseen the development of a thriving NDIS allied health service. She has extensive corporate and clinical governance experience and has held numerous board roles including at Carers WA, St Barts and Great Southern GP Network. Ms Barnes was chair of the South West WA Medical Local, sits on the WA Board of Australasian Society for Intellectually Disability, and is vice chair of WA Individualised Services.
