New board members at WAIS, SportWest
Three directors have been appointed to the Western Australian Institute of Sport board while SportWest gains Liam Twigger as its new chair.

Elise Rechichi OAM is a sailor from Perth who represented Australia in the women's sailing two person dinghy 470 class at the 2008 Summer Olympics in China where she won the gold medal. She is also a dual Olympian, an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder (2003-2013), and head of performance strategy at Paralympics Australia.
Ms Rechichi was named Young Australian Team of the Year at the Australian Sport Awards, Australian Sailing Female Sailor of the Year Award in 2008, and inducted into the Australian Sailing Hall of Fame in November 2023.
In 2009, she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to sport as a Gold Medallist at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
