Douglas MacQuarrie

Douglas MacQuarrie has over 40 years of mineral exploration experience, including almost 30 years in West Africa. He had led the discovery and acquisition of significant gold deposits in Canada and in Ghana.

Mr MacQuarrie became the president & chief executive of Toroto-based Asante Gold Corporation in January 2011. Prior to that, he was the chief executive of PMI Gold Corporation where he acquired and drilled off the Obotan + 5 million oz of gold deposit before it was bought out by Galiano Gold (formerly Asanko Gold/Keegan Resources) in 2013.
