AWE sells Cliff Head stake to Elixir
Oil and gas company AWE has sold its stake in the Cliff Head offshore oil project to Elixir Petroleum, for an upfront payment of $1 million.
Dougal Ferguson has over 25 years of capital markets, financial and commercial experience in senior management positions within listed upstream oil and gas for domestic and international companies. He held senior executive roles in London, Canada and Hong Kong.
Mr Ferguson gained broad commercial and technical experience working in business development and commercial roles in small to medium exploration and production companies, and has an extensive network of contacts in the industry.
Prior to joining Connected IO in July 2020 as non-executive director then as chief executive in February 2021, he was the managing director of ASX-listed XCD Energy which was acquired by 88 Energy in July 2020 for a substantial premium. He was also the managing director or Elixir Energy and procured the Mongolian CBM acquisition which resulted in the market capitalisation growing in excess of $100M.

Perth-based explorer Elixir Petroleum has entered into an agreement to acquire a Mongolia-focused coal seam gas business in an all-scrip deal worth about $4 million.
