
Don Boyd is a legal consultant and widely regarded as the architect of what was the first international legal practice merger in Australia, now known as Norton Rose Fulbright where he is currently a consultant and former global deputy chief executive. Prior to becoming global deputy chief executive in January 2010, Mr Boyd was the chief executive partner of Deacons Australia from 2000 to 2009. He was also the national executive chair of Deacons from 1995 to 2000, and managing partner of Deacons’ Brisbane office from 1991 to 1995. Between 1996 and 2000, he was chief executive of Deacons in Asia and was responsible for devising the strategy, management and operations of Deacons’ Bangkok, Beijing, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei offices. Mr Boyd has over 40 years of legal experience. With a background in tax law, he became an agribusiness specialist although the diversity of his practice later included such high profile projects as the Cape York Space Project.
