Deanne Weir is a former media lawyer and executive turned producer, investor and company director. She is passionate about storytelling, change-making and gender equality.
Ms Weir has previously spent 10 years at ASX-listed company Austar United Communications as a senior executive, including as general counsel and company secretary. She was a long-term board member and deputy chair of Screen Australia and was appointed chair of the Sydney Film Festival in 2017.
Ms Weir is chair of Australian technology startup Seer Data and Analytics, and ASX-listed Ai-Media. She is also a co-founder and director of Storyd, which supports female storytellers by investing in internationally targeted feature films from Australian female creatives.
