Ascot Capital has managed to garner plenty of publicity since it bought Jandakot Airport Holdings in February 2006.
David van der Walt has been involved in the property industry for over 30 years in South Africa, UK and Australia. He has a vast and well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of property including agency, property management, development and syndications. Mr van der Walt founded 5th Avenue Properties in South Africa in the early 1980s and remained chief executive and major shareholder until the sale of the business to a listed Johannesburg Stock Exchange company in 1999. He remained chief executive until his departure to Australia in 2001. Mr van der Walt co-founded Ascot Capital on arrival in Australia. He is a member of the Institute of Directors of Australia, and chair of Athletics WA.
