David Richardson is an accomplished senior finance professional with expertise in strategic financial planning, financial systems design and implementation, equity raising, risk management and treasury practices.
Early in his career, Mr Richardson was employed by global oilfield services giant Schlumberger, where he gained twelve years of international financial management experience through financial controller assignments in Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and the USA.
In 2002, he joined Worley Parsons and was heavily involved in numerous acquisitions in Australia, China, USA, Canada and Chile. His roles included general manager of finance & administration (Australia), and chief financial officer of Americas/Europe Region where he was based in Houston, Texas. Mr RIchardson became chief financial officer and company secretary of Schaffer Corporation in March 2008 and his major achievements included a thorough review and revision of foreign currency hedging policy and exposure reporting, a review and revision of international transfer pricing strategies, renegotiation and increase in group credit facilities, revamp of the corporate website and enhancement of monthly board reports.
In 2011, he was employed by ASX-listed iron ore miner Gindalbie Metals as chief financial officer and was involved in two equity raising programmes ($271m) and assistance with negotiating and finalising a USD $1.8bn project finance facility with a syndicate of Chinese Banks.
