David McKenna

David McKenna is a partner of Mills Oakley, a leading national law firm in Australia. Mr McKenna has a B. Juris and LLB and was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1980. He practiced initially as a solicitor with the Legal Aid Commission for seven years and since 1987, he has practiced solely in the area of insurance litigation. He has regularly appeared in the workers’ compensation jurisdiction, District, Supreme and Federal Courts and the High Court. He has been involved in a number of significant landmark cases in Western Australia involving local council liability and asbestos litigation. Mr McKenna also practices in the areas of property, transport, liability, asbestos litigation and professional indemnity insurance. He is the immediate past National President of the Insurance Law Association, and has been a member of that association since 1987 and a member of the board since 1997, holding the positions of secretary and vice president before being elected National President.
