David McGowan

David McGowan has over 36 years of experience in the mining industry, starting as an underground miner in the early 1980s before graduating as a mining engineer from the Western Australian School of Mines, and progressing to be the underground division manager of Eltin. He has held senior operational management roles within a variety of mining companies, and has experience across a range of commodities in underground and open pit operations as well as in narrow vein mining. Mr McGowan joined Medusa Mining in February 2017 as general manager of engineering before becoming chief operating officer in June 2018 and chief executive from March 2019 to August 2020.
