Listed Perth company AnaeCo has achieved a significant milestone at its waste-to-energy plant in Shenton Park, with Western Power approving its connection to the electricity grid.

The operator of a waste treatment plant developed in Perth’s western suburbs with support from Monadelphous Group has been told it will no longer run the plant following the disclosure of further delays and warnings of increased costs.

Monadelphous Group and AnaeCo’s long-delayed waste treatment plant in Shenton Park has finally been given a completion date, with a short list of tasks to be finished by mid-April.

Monadelphous Group has restructured its interest in struggling waste technology company AnaeCo, with a debt for equity swap and loan sale that will see the Perth engineering firm emerge with a 30 per cent stake and a Chinese enterprise with a 55 per cent interest.
