David Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the grains industry, locally and overseas.

Mr Johnson joined Emerald Grain as risk and pricing manager from March 2012 to Februay 2013 before rejoining the company in 2015 as general manager of trading and marketing, chief operating officer in February 2016, acting chief executive in September 2016 and formally appointed chief executive in December 2016. Prior to Emerald Grain, Mr Johnson held a number of senior roles including seven years as pool manager of AWB.
