Darryl Flukes has experience across the Australian energy sector, with a focus on renewables and energy retail. He has experience in energy commodity markets and risk management backed by a knowledge across a number of corporate disciplines.
Mr Flukes is chair of ESCO Pacific, an Australia-focused utility-scale solar developer and asset manager. He is also an advisory board member of Country Carbon, a provider of carbon offsets from Australian farmers. Mr Flukes was a board member of wind generator/retailer Powershop (Meridian Energy); chair of SME retailer/gas generator Perth Energy; and board member of the Clean Energy Council, the peak body for the clean energy industry in Australia.
From 2005 to 2013, Mr Flukes was chief executive of Infratil Energy Australia as it grew its retail business, Lumo Energy, from a startup to becoming a Australian energy supply business, realising a sale to Snowy Hydro. He was also general manager of hydro generator Southern Hydro and held roles with Vitol and BP in the UK.
