Darren Grondal is a commercial and competition lawyer who advises corporate clients in the energy, oil and gas, linear infrastructure, resources and transport & logistics sectors. He has over 17 years of experience as a lawyer and 15 years in commercial roles. Mr Grondal has experience in advising major projects, contracts and regulatory issues across the rail and port, LNG, natural gas and electricity industries, within Australia and other Asian jurisdictions. He has also worked on the development and implementation of market reform, corporatisation and privatisation projects. Mr Grondal has particular expertise in competition law, access regulation and utility regulation. His work in competition law covers all forms of restrictive trade practices including cartels, M&A, misuse of market power, exclusive dealing, RPM and anti-competitive arrangements. His experience in access regulation is extensive, ranging across both Federal and State-based regimes and across rail, port, electricity and gas infrastructure. He has also lectured in Competition Law and Policy.
