Damien Henderson

Damien Henderson has over 23 years’ experience as a finance professional, with over 16 years in the resource industry in Australia and overseas. He has considerable management expertise having previously worked for mining contractors and large multinational companies engaged in the fields of exploration, construction and production. Mr Henderson also has extensive overseas experience gained through working in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Ghana, Mongolia and Indonesia. He is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA) who holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from the University of Southern Queensland, and is also a Certified Member of the Governance Institute of Australia. Mr Henderson has been involved in senior management roles at Kangaroo Resources since 2011 and became its financial controller in 2013 and chief financial officer in 2017. He has previously worked in senior accounting and finance roles for a number of international mining companies in Australia, Asia and Africa including Rio Tinto, Placer Dome (now Barrick Gold), and Peabody Winsway.
