Damien Coleman is a senior legal and governance professional with over 20 years of experience advising at senior management and board levels.
He joined Telstra from 1998 to February 2021 and has served in senior legal roles across the company including Sensis, mergers & acquisitions, Telstra operations, finance and administration, office of the company secretary, and National Broadband Network (NBN). His responsibilities as company secretary of Telstra includes continuous disclosure compliance, corporate governance and communication with its 1.4 million shareholders. Mr Coleman played a key role in the negotiation of the 2011 Definitive Agreements for Telstra’s participation in the rollout of the nbn™ network. Before joining Telstra, Mr Coleman was a senior lawyer at a leading Australian law firm.
He serves on the Victorian State Council of the Governance Institute of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University.
