Craig Drummond retired as chief executive of Australia’s leading private health insurer Medibank in May 2021 after 5 years at the helm. Prior to that, he had spent 30 years in the finance sector.
Prior to Medibank, Mr Drummond was the group executive of finance and strategy at National Australia Bank where he focused on the strategic realignment and repositioning of the bank, its balance sheet and its performance management systems. He was also the chief executive and country head at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Australia). Earlier in his career, Mr Drummond joined JBWere and held several management roles including as chief operating officer, chief executive and executive chair of Goldman Sachs JBWere.
He is a director of the Geelong Football Club, a finance committee member of the Ian Potter Foundation, and a former director of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
