Clare Johansen has extensive operational and policy development experience in large schools. She has held a number of educational leadership positions in Australia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
In early 2022, Ms Johansen was awarded the Aware Super Michael Dwyer Scholarship for Emerging Leaders.
She joined Perth College in July 2022. as vice principal where she worked with the leadership team to drive the strategic vision for the school, has oversight of the campus from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, and day-to-day responsibility for running the senior campus. She has been the acting principal from June to July 2023, and again from August 2023 following the sudden resignation of former principal Helen Aguiar to focus on her health and family.
Ms Johansen holds a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of WA, and the Certificate of School Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
