Claire Boyd’s expertise spans all aspects of resources projects from acquisition, structuring, financing and implementation to the on-going development, operation and then divestment of projects. As well as negotiating and documenting transactions, Ms Boyd also provides advice on regulatory compliance and approvals, and land access matters. She has considerable multi-jurisdictional experience, having advised on projects in all states and territories of Australia as well as overseas in Turkey, Philippines, Fiji, Vanuatu, Pakistan and various African countries. Ms Boyd is active with the Resources and Energy Law Association and was involved in the development of the model production joint venture and the model framework royalty deed, as well as the model access agreement for Western Australia. She is also a member of the Mining Legislation Committee of the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies. Ms Boyd was listed in the Australian Financial Review’s Best Lawyers list in 2017 for Energy Law, Mining Law and Natural Resources Law.
