Chris Tanner has over 29 years of experience in project design and development within the mining industry. He has been involved in moving projects from scoping study level to feasibility study, ensuring permits were in place and negotiating infrastructure agreements.
Based in the US with an extensive association within the mining industry in Nevada, Mr Tanner was appointed project manager of Magnum Mining & Exploration in June 2023. Prior to that, he was senior project engineer at Kennecott (Rio Tinto), global construction project manager for Coeur D’Alene Mines (Coeur) where he managed their global development operations in Alaska, Bolivia, Nevada, Mexico and Argentina. Mr Tanner was also the project manager of Hycroft Resources, senior project engineer at the Kinross Round Mountain Mine (Nevada), and assistant project manager for the construction of the $1.5 billion Minera Penasquito Project for Goldcorp in Mexico.
Mr Tanner holds a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) and a Master of Business Administration.
