Chris Slater has been with the Australian Finance Group (AFG) since August 2007. He started as a national account manager before becoming state manager of NSW and ACT in April 2008, head of sales & distribution for home loans in January 2013, general manager of white label distribution in March 2018, general manager of sales & distribution in June 2019, and has been chief executive of Fintelligence since October 2023. Fintelligence is a cloud-based asset finance aggregator, acquired by AFG in December 2021.
Prior to joining AFG, Mr Slater worked for a number of key finance and banking companies including 7 years at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and in the media industry as a media manager & journalist.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, a Diploma of Securitisation, an Advanced Diploma in Management, a Diploma of Financial Services (Mortgage Broking), and has completed an Accelerated Leadership Program at the Australian Graduate School of Management.
