Chris McAlpine has been involved in the finance industry for over 10 years, with experience in actuarial, risk management and investment roles. He has extensive modelling skills in forecasting, unit pricing, liquidity and reconciliation. He is also experienced in working closely with global asset consultants, institutional asset managers and custodians.
Mr McAlpine was the senior investment analyst at WA Super and was responsible for monitoring the investment portfolio, developing strategies, portfolio construction, research, performance reporting, writing board and investment committee papers. He has presented in seminars to members of the WA Super Fund and attended several conferences. In November 2020, he helped established Context Capital after a successful merger between WA Super and Aware Fund.
Mr McAlpine holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours Specialisation in Actuarial Science) and a CIMA certification which he obtained the highest score on the CIMA IMAC course. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Mr McAlpine is completing his studies to become a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He is also a winner of the 2019 PIMCO Scholarship.
