Chris Leatt-Hayter joined Fremantle Ports in 1992, and was chief executive from December 2008 until his retirement in January 2021.

Mr Leatt-Hayter had previously worked at the State Treasury and Department of Transport, and has wide-ranging experience in transport policy development, contract negotiations, economic and financial evaluation and business development planning.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Transport, Australian Institute of Management, and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
