Chelsea Lyford advises ASX-listed companies, private companies, SMEs and high net-worth individuals across the full spectrum of tax & tax disputes, business and asset structuring, complex wills and estate planning. She has worked in law firms in Perth, Sydney and New York.
Prior to becoming a partner of Sceales Lawyers in December 2020, Ms Lyford was a partner in the tax & tax disputes practice group of Mason Ledger and a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers specialising in taxation and commercial law disputes.
She has been a senior member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for 7 years in the taxation and commercial division, FOI division and the veterans’ appeals division. Prior to that, she was a senior associate in tax at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters) and a lawyer at Mallesons (now King & Wood Mallesons).
Ms Lyford has a Master of Laws with Honours, with a focus on Taxation Law, from The University of Sydney.
